Artemis Mission 2024: NASA to build 'Hotel' on the way to the moon

Artemis Mission 2024: The US space agency NASA will build a Lunar Module under a gateway on the way before sending the first woman and a man to the moon in 2024 where the Astronauts will stop. This module will revolve around the moon.

US space agency NASA Astronauts will now stop in a module that will feel like a hotel before stepping on the moon. The special thing is that this module will remain in the moon's orbit. For this, NASA has awarded a contract of $ 187 million to Northrop Grumman. This will be part of NASA's Artemis mission under which the first woman and one man are to be sent to the moon by 2024.

The size of the flat will be

A small flat size Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) will be built under the gateway which will revolve around the moon. The Power Aid Propulsion Element (PPE) of HALO and Gateway will be launched in 2023. Astronauts from Earth will first arrive at the Gateway and then go to the moon. It will be smaller than the International Space Station (ISS). NASA Administrator Jim Bodenstein says the awarding of the contract is an important step to increase the Moon's strong and sustained operations.

The astronaut will stay here

Pressurized quarters will be built in HALO inside the gateway. It will be made up of many modules and can be expanded. Astronauts will spend some time here. With its initial design reviewed, the vehicle's design will be tested for safety and dependability for flight. After this, the work of making hardware will start.

History created last month

After creating history on May 30, NASA is very excited. NASA has sent two of its astronauts to the ISS in a spacecraft from US soil after nearly 10 years. Since 2011, NASA was resorting to Russia to send its astronauts to space. On May 30, after the launch was postponed due to bad weather, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket sent Bob Benkhen and Doug Hurley to the Crew Dragon spacecraft.
