India China Air Defense Systems: Chinese airforce combat aircraft have been seen flying very close to the border in the eastern Ladakh sector. Realizing their intentions, the Army and the Air Force have deployed air defense systems.
China's activities near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) have intensified. Not only its troops are present in large numbers in the areas adjacent to the border, but the Chinese air force is also very close to the LAC. China has built several bases in its territory across the border from where its fighter aircraft are flying daily. In view of the danger from China, India's air defense system has been alerted. If the enemy tried to enter the Indian airspace or attacked with a missile, he would get a suitable answer. India's air defense system is not the best in the world but is strong enough to blow every missile coming towards its outskirts. Let's know about the air defense system of both countries.
Sky Security Responses to 'Akash'
Be it an aircraft flying high in the sky or a drone hovering in the lowlands, India's Advanced Air Defense (AAD) missile is capable of flying any alien object. Part of this is the Akash missile. This ground-to-air missile can intercept ballistic missiles in a range of up to 30 km. The Akash missile weighing 720 kg is propelled by supersonic speed. If this is not enough, then it is capable of targeting the enemy missile up to 18 km altitude. It can be fired from both the track or wheel system.
Akash missile is equipped with latest gadgets
The Akash missile system is equipped with advanced computers and an electro-mechanical activator. It is targeted by taking the signal from the radar named 'Rajendra'. 'Rajendra' has many advanced features like it can track 64 targets in its range. It is capable of dropping 8 missiles towards four targets simultaneously.
Very difficult to escape from the universe
After the sky, it is now the earth. Prithvi Air Defense ie PAD system can handle incoming missiles in the range of 80 to 120 km. The 'Pradyuman' on Prithvi missile is actually a Tooz missile. This supersonic missile can easily fire ballistic missiles ranging from 300 km to 2000 km in the air. This missile system can also fire missiles coming from outside the atmosphere. It has long-range tracking radar which helps in locking the target. This defense system can be used in both high and low altitudes thanks to the trajectory optimization feature.
Even outside the earth, China is able to answer the action
India has the ability to fight wars not only on earth but also in space. Only three more countries in the world - America, Russia, and China - have anti-satellite missiles. India successfully completed 'Mission Shakti' on 17 March last year. Then we had a satellite in the lower orbit of the earth with an anti-satellite missile and made iron of its space power all over the world.
Where will China escape from 'Ashwin' and SPYDER
India also has an Israeli SPYDER missile that can fire in a range of 5 to 50 kilometers. Apart from this, there is an indigenous missile named 'Ashwin' which intercepts missiles at an altitude of up to 30 km.
India is going to get 'Brahmastra' soon
India will soon get the S-400 Triumf Air Defense Missile System from Russia. This system will increase the reach of the Indian Airforce by four times. S-400 Triumf is one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world. The radars fitted in it can catch objects coming from 1,000 kilometers away. Able to monitor dozens of objects simultaneously, this defense system does not miss out quickly in targeting aircraft. An S-400 system can protect an entire spectrum from an air threat. Amidst ongoing tension along the border with China, efforts are being made to acquire this system quickly so that only one defense system in the eastern Ladakh sector can be monitored by the movement of the dragon.
China's HQ-9 missile weighing two tons
China's HQ-9 is also a two-stage missile-like Russia's S-300V. This ground-to-air missile system weighs around two tonnes and is 7 meters long. HQ-9 is China's main air defense system. Its warhead has a maximum range of 200 km and speed 4.2 matches. The drawback of this missile is that its thrust vector control is visible from one side. This missile was very large earlier, with the help of Russia, it has been made so small that it can be dropped from the transport launcher. Nevertheless, its ballistic capability is suspect by experts.
China buys the S-300 missile system from Russia
A mutual friend of India and China i.e. Russia has sold arms to both countries. The Russian S-300 air defense system was purchased by China and then developed further here. The Chinese version of the S-300V is known as HQ-18. The range of these missile systems is up to 100 km. Some missiles can hit up to 150 kilometers. Its radar can detect 200 targets simultaneously.
China already has S-400 defense system
China already has a consignment of S-400 Triumf, one of the world's most advanced missile systems. In February this year, Russia sent a second shipment to China. In 2014, China asked for two S-400 sets. The delivery of the first set was completed in 2018. That is, comparatively, both countries have a strong air defense system. Although India still looks a little weak in the launch range, the S-400 will strengthen its position.
