Renault Duster is going to come to a powerful avatar. It will get a turbo-petrol engine. The turbo-engined Duster was introduced at the Auto Expo in early February and has been awaiting its launch ever since. However, this wait may be over soon. News reports say that the turbo-petrol engineered Duster (Renault Duster Turbo Petrol) is set to be launched in late August.
This powerful model of Renault Duster will get a 1.3-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. It generates 153 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. It will have a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options. This powertrain is already present in Nissan Kicks. The current 1.5-liter petrol engine model of the Duster along with the new turbo-engine will also be available for sale.
Apart from the turbo-petrol engine, the design of this new model of Duster will also get mild changes. It has red elements on the grille and foglamp housing, making it different from the standard model. This new model of Duster introduced at the Auto Expo featured a new red color logo, less cladding at the rear, and thicker roof rails. The final model (model launched in the market) is also expected to get this change.
