More than 500 apps used in smartphones are collecting data related to the location of users and the US government is collecting this data. The reported report states that the US government is working closely with a contractor and buys data from it. With the help of this data, users can be tracked.

Apps in smartphones collect a lot of data from users and doing so is often necessary to function in their own way. However, for sensitive data collection, countries like India, and later the US are also planning to ban Chinese apps. Now it has been revealed that with the help of many smartphone apps, the US government is also spying on users.

The Chinese government has been accused of stealing and storing users' data with the help of Huawei, Ticketock, and WeChat. Now the Wall Street Journal report says that the US government is also spying on its citizens and they are tracked with the help of apps. The report reveals that the US government has a contractor that embeds tracking software in over 500 mobile apps.

Government sells data

The name of the contractor is Anomaly Six LLC and he lives in Virginia. The report states that the contractor pays mobile app developers in exchange for including self-developed tracking code in their app. The contractor then collects the anonymous data of the users' device. The report states that after collecting, the contractor sells the user's data to the US government.

Location can be tracked

With the help of the data mentioned in the report, who can be the user of the device. For example, if the device is not moved all night and there is only one place, then that place can be considered as the user's home. With the help of data analysis, a user can be tracked and his daily habits can be tracked. The contractor confirmed the report but denied any link with the US government.
