New Delhi, Jun 15 (PTI) Union Power Minister R K Singh on Wednesday said the government has discussed with several countries, including Japan and Germany, for future hydrogen exports from India. Singh, who is also handling the Ministry of Renewable Energy, said that India is aiming to produce 20 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. "We are the largest and fastest growing renewable energy capacity in the world and this is what is needed for green hydrogen," he said on the sidelines of an event here.

The Union Minister said, “We have already discussed with many countries which are going to import hydrogen from countries like Japan, Germany. We have set a target of producing 20 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030.
He expressed confidence that India would emerge as a major country in the green hydrogen sector.
