New Delhi : Nothing is planning to launch its first phone Nothing Phone (1) soon. The company will make its official debut at its biggest launch event. New updates are coming out every day regarding the phone. However, the company has recently released a new update regarding the manufacturing of the phone. London-based consumer electronics company Nothing on Monday announced that it will make its first smartphone phone (1) in India. The company said that the smartphone will be manufactured at a plant in Tamil Nadu. Manu Sharma, VP and GM, Nothing India, said, “We are thrilled to announce that every single (1) phone sold in India will be manufactured locally.

"Nothing Phone (1) is the real beginning of our journey and we can't think of a better way to establish ourselves in India, which is a huge market for us," he added. In India, the Nothing Phone (1) will be sold via Flipkart. The company is reportedly set to launch the device with a transparent design on July 12.

Nothing phone will come with wireless charging (1)

A recent tweet by Karl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing suggested that the device may come with support for wireless charging.

The upcoming smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile platform. It will be the company's first smartphone and the second product in the brand's overall product ecosystem. The device will come pre-installed with Nothing OS. The device will be considered with three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates. For the upcoming Nothing Phone (1), the company is expanding its customer support in the region to 270 Authorized Service Centers in over 250 cities, with year-round support through Nothing India channels.

Possible Specifications of Nothing Phone (1)

It is believed that the Nothing 1 will come with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. It will boot Android 12 with the custom skin out of the box. The phone is also expected to feature an FHD+ OLED panel with a high refresh rate. The phone can come with a 4,500 mAh battery with 45W charging support. Coming to the camera features, the handset is also expected to sport a 50MP primary rear sensor along with a triple or dual camera setup. India is one of the largest smartphone markets in the world, second only to China. The Nothing Phone (1) will go on sale via Flipkart once it is launched in India.
