Mumbai, Jun 15 (PTI) Private equity and venture capital funds infused $5.3 billion in Indian companies in May 2022, up 42 per cent from the same period a year ago. According to a report by industry body IVCR and consulting firm EY, investments in May were down 29 per cent compared to $7.5 billion in April. At the same time, in terms of deals, there were 109 transactions in May, compared to 66 in the same month a year ago and 117 in April 2022.

According to a report by industry body IVCR and consulting firm EY, investments in May were down 29 per cent compared to $7.5 billion in April.
At the same time, in terms of deals, there were 109 transactions in May, compared to 66 in the same month a year ago and 117 in April 2022.
According to the report, in May 2022, there were 14 major deals worth more than $100 million, valued at $3.9 billion. This also includes raising a $750 million loan from Apollo Global by the Adani-controlled Mumbai airport.
